Just has "the call". OSG duties, here i come
Had the call earlier tonight, a lot sooner than expected as i only passed my vetting on Monday.
Weirdly they said If i wanted to do the returning officer scheme i would have to cancel this application and reapply for that, OJ otherwise i could accept this one and do the training again, which is the option i have gone for.
I start mid june on OSG duties until the train resumes. Will be an interesting insight into their side of things and seeing things from there perspective

Congrats pal, hopefully won't be too long until training will resume. I think it is a good experience doing a bit of osg work before doing officer training.

Congratulations Gaboo! Atleast your back in the job. You’ll get to be an OSG then do the training again. It will all be good experience. I see you got your conditional offer back in March?

I did yeah, but then they sent me the wrong health questionnaire thing, which took them a couple of weeks to notice and send the correct one. after which they decided i needed a telephone health assessment, which took all of 5 minutes and they said they're more than happy. that was on a friday and got the call monday evening i think it was
like you say though, although will be wierd doing OSG duties, will be a good insight

I filled in the 8 sections or so of the vetting form but didn’t get an occupational health form. Is it meant to be included?

Gaboo maybe your vetting took a little while due to the lockdown. I think things must have slowed down then. I’ve also noticed being being vetted in two weeks.
