You know sometimes Scoobs your eloquence and in depth discussion really humbles me :slwoot:

But that was a very apropriate response to the statement. :slcl:

Well I think it is not very nice to do that. If she did that to me I would bend her over my knee and give her a good spanking for such rudeness.

Hi guys,

I'm due to attend my RAD at Newbold Revel and want to make sure I'm fully prepared.

During the day, will I be asked any specific interview questions? Or will I only be expected to do the role plays?

Cheers.

No you don't have an interview. You will arrive at the RAD center and have a brief introduction followed by more form filling. Next you will see the nurse who will make sure you are fit enough to complete the fitness test and take your height, weight, and b.p.
Then you will either do your fitness test or role plays, and finally the selection tests, the same as the ones you did when you applied online. And finally you will get a debrief and results by email some time later. I really enjoyed the day, the staff are all friendly and make you feel at ease. Be yourself and enjoy it!

As above, there's no interview element.

I attended a RAD at Newbold a couple of weeks ago, the order of the day varied amongst the group, essentially there were three elements of the assessment (Medical/Fitness/POST retest.) Our group of 12 were split into three groups of 4, with one group going straight to the exam room, one to the nurse/fitness test and my group headed straight to the simulations.

The three groups then rotated until all 12 people had completed all of the elements.

I had simulations followed by exam followed by medical.

It may sound nasty having the fitness test immediately before the exams or simulations, but there are showers available and the day moved at a fairly comfortable pace so you'll not be left running from building to building all sweaty for the rest of the day (I didn't see anyone really breaking a sweat on the fitness test anyway! :) )

I have successfully completed all stages up to the 'appointment stage' and it has been 2 weeks since my RAD, however I have not yet been asked to provide a full job history or references. My question is, should I have already given this information or will I have the opportunity to do so soon? TIA

I'm in the same boat. Got the email telling me I passed RAD on 16/02/17 and nothing since. Called SS and was just told my application is still in progress and they are told not to give time scales.... really useful info!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm guessing this is just because of volume of applicants. I know there has been a huge recruitment drive recently. I originally applied in early December so the wait is starting to take its toll
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up and never give up! :slbg:
