Gravatar service

Post by falkor » Sat Feb 25, 2017 1:00 pm "Your Gravatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog. Avatars help identify your posts on blogs and web forums, so why not on any site?"

Has anybody on this site used Gravatar? it looks like a good service? if you do try it out please reply on this thread with what you think of it :slhe:

A large majority of forum services use gravatar, that's why I already had mine set up!
I used to work for a games company that hosted and coded servers for games like Minecraft, and in the various forum softwares we used it always allowed for gravatar use.

I think it's good as it allows for a lot of personalisation rather than just stock images a forum may come with, but you do open yourselves up to the risk of users getting an inappropriate avatar.
