Pm's stuck in outbox

I've got pm's stuck in my outbox. How do I get then sent?

It stays in outbox until the recipient reads it.
Its ok, its gone to them

Thanks for putting this on Site Problems Larry, other members have also got baffled with it

because some email systems have an outbox that works in a different way.

With PMs the SENTBOX shows all the messages that have been received and opened by the intended person you sent it to.
the OUTBOX shows all the messages that are still waiting for the intended person you sent it to, to open the message, they haven't read it yet, either because they haven't been around on the site lately or it could be they are choosing not to read their PMs at the moment!
