Anyone watching "Time" on BBC 1?

Not bad so far, interesting watching their take on prison life.

hey Taff, watching that TV programme you would be forgiven for thinking that every cell is equipped with a kettle, sugar, tea etc that's what it looks like on there, so is that the case at your nick? :mug:

More or less yea Falkor, prisoners get tea packs every evening with milk, sugar and tea/coffee in it.

I'm quite shocked to learn that kettles are allowed. Would've thought it would cause issues but that's possible ly my naievity.🤷🏽‍♀️

The kettles that are issued are not the same as what you have in your home. They don't boil to the same temperature as a normal kettle.
On arrival all prisoners are given tea packs then they are issued with evening meal twice a week.

Finished the 3 episodes, pretty good tbh, some stuff I was laughing with like going into the cell and slamming the door shut without shooting the bolt 🤣🙈

I finished it last night too. Thought it was pretty good. I wonder if they'll do more episodes to follow what happened next to the officer that went to prison.🤔

I'd like to see more done, even if its a different story from a different jail.

Hello,

As a non prison officer can I ask if the likelyhood of violence against a middle class professional who ends up in jail is very likely as depicted in the
drama or could one theoretically serve a whole sentence without confrontation?

Thanks
