You cannot catch Flu from the vaccine, it is not a live vaccine.
It doesn't matter if you have a healthy lifestyle, the virus does not discriminate, there is no natural immunity.
The current vaccine may or may not help you against this year's strain it currently has a 10% effectiveness against Aussie Flu and approximately only 40% effective against all other strains it protects against.

Is it worth having the injection, sure it is 10% is better than 0% chnave of protection.

Thankfully never had influenza and have, due to the nature of my job and a previous illness, had to have the injection very year since 2000.

It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity

Start of vetting to the call 17 weeks 2 days.

Both my girls have had the vaccine done. Again would rather some chance of them being covered than no chance. If the vaccine gave people flu they wouldn’t give it to pregnant women.

Last year's statistics were interesting.

about 40-60% effective apart from those over 65 where it drops to about 10%.

With the above in mind, it's even more important to get vaccinated if you happen to be around people over the age of 65 a lot. Herd Immunity and all. :slcl:
