Ride for Respect

Post by sharp » Tue Sep 25, 2012 4:14 am

On sunday 30th September there will be a 'Ride 4 Remembrance'.

The Ride 4 Remembrance is organised by bikers who are active or retired in Law Enforcement to come to the ACE Cafe in London to depart for and hold a small service at the National Police Memorial (next to Horse Guards Parade) at 10.00am. and pay their respects to those Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

There will be representatives there from other Law Enforcement MC's (i.e Blue Knights, Gunfighters MC, etc...)

I am a retired Prison Officer and a member of a large MC and shall be attending. I went to the first ever event last year and it was a real blast riding through Hyde Park Corner and Park Lane, holding up all the traffic and going through all the red traffic lights on a sunday morning with a Police escort !!!! and we had approx 50 bikes at the first event.

If you ride a motorcycle, are not working this weekend and wish to find out more, please reply to this post.

hello Sharp, how did it go? :slwin: any photos of the ride? the National Police Memorial lists all the police officers who have been killed by criminal acts in the line of duty since 1680, did you see it? how did the ride go? how many motorcyclists this year? :)
