Hope you’re right londonlad, feels like I’ve spent the last 3 years of my life at some stage in the prison service recruitment stages (I pretty much have 😂).

Happily go back to the same jail if offered it. I’d be over the moon to get a second chance at any of the 4 I’m on the merit list for.

I think a lot of people leave in the first few months, hopefully things are better now.

Well hopefully this time next year haha. I’m just on the list for one. West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire needed for me really. YOI wetherby is recruiting but don’t fancy that really

I see the documentary on Wetherby. Looks fun lol.. one of my choices was an 18-21 YOI but I went for a foreign national only prison in the end. I am really considering calling up and seeing if I can swap from my choice to the 18-21 YOI.. Id love to go for a 15-18 YOI but the closest to me is HMYOI Feltham and that about 50 miles away from me

JCOX are you in the south east aswell? I’d keep your job at the prison you’ve got if I were you. The downside is the Victorian prisons have a lack of parking, especially in London.
