'I think that the mother should start to ask serious questions about the control and restrant techniques used.'

Yes, quite right, perhaps we should start using feather dusters to tickle prisoners into submission when they smash up

I have seen the comments made by the general public below..

However I cannot see anything that backs up this step mums claims that the prisoner was left for 4 hours with an obvious head injury.?

Until the facts are known I won't comment, maybe best for all of us really?

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Of course, as soon as these scrotes come to prison, they become little angels, don't they? If the situation dictated that wishy washy management actually got a team together, the con involved must have gone beyond the normal misbehaviour. if he got injured in the process, tough. Better him than the staff I say.

Accidents happen.

We must always remember why the staff had to intervene. They didn't get kitted up and go charging in for a laugh.

Concur with Prae ,however , before the team went in a Officer or SO , atleast, would have talked to him at his door , we do not just send specialist teams in randomly , there has to be a safety issue involved and in all situations we try to d'escalate the incident . Sounds like text book stuff, but I am totally sincere.

It does say in the article that there were four prisoners in the cell. Anything could have happened in those circumstances, before or after use of force.

I imagine that you spend much of your time feeling sorry. The reality is that comments such as yours only go to fuel the bullying steroetype that the general public has of us.

Its one thing to attack a prisoner, quite another if one gets injured through their OWN FAULT!
