Reports about increased Bullying and violence are endemic at Parkhurst and it is in many ways a "failing prison", the prisons watchdog says.

I watched this on our local news.. hope this will now lead to some
vacancies opening up over here seeing as this is one of my choices. And when i phoned south central field base they can't remember the last
time somebody new started on the island. :slwh: :slwh:

don't hold your breath! The cluster will be about cutting not creating, my friend has to go to Parkhurst, as was, first thing in the morning then go to the former Camphill then return to Parkhurst in the afternoon. I have heard nothing good about this. Parkhurst has changed beyond recognition over the years, and every year more inmates with less resources, Victorian prisons are difficult to run with modern staffing levels.

Stick with it, it's tedious I know. Contact one of the POA branches (will soon be one branch I guess) they can at least check if any vacancies are available. Best of luck.
