37, 39, 41 hour weeks

I understand training will be 37 hours a week but on the application it states after that you can choose between 37, 39 and 41 hours a week. Is this true? I have spoken to a prison officer of three years in the Midlands and he said that he does the basic 37 hours and never had a choice of picking out of the three. Can anyone confirm?

When you go live, you will have sit down with your line manager, talk to them about it, they will email you a form to fill out and send to HR if you want to up your hours

Hi is this after your training you can up your hours as I was told you had to stay at 37 hours for you 12 month probation

After training you can change it, they will say after probation but there were poelts on my course that changed it within couple of months into the role.

So no harm in asking, worst thing they say is no.

Nothing to stop people on 37 hours doing PP and at £22 per hour your better off than the ACH. Add lunch covers or convert an early to a main lots of options.

Payment plus, additional contracted hours I believe it means.. someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

PP = Payment Plus - overtime pay
ACH = Additional Contracted Hours 2/4 making 39 or 41 per week.

What is the deal with overtime, are you only allowed to work a certain amount of overtime? I've worked a few places that have had different rules for overtime
