Its really good , first week is a bit full on with Paperwork etc , but come the end its amazing to realise you've learnt all that -- obviously its all the basics to meet the criteria , and the real training starts next week -- but yeah its really good 👍

It sounds really fun! How does it work? Is it an exam or more like coursework?

Could you give us an overview of the last 8 weeks?
What’s everything like? How did the practical restraint training work with Covid? Do you feel prepared to start at your prison?

Control and restraint training for poelts takes place as normal, with the exception that everyone wears a fluid resistant surgical mask at all times and disposable gloves.
Poelts are required to socially distance where possible but due to the nature of the training the facts are you will be hands on with each other and the masks do come off.
The C&R is fun but hard work.

Amazing news, congratulations pal. How do you feel about starting? Nervous? Excited?

What did you find your best part of poelt, what was the most challenging and what did you most enjoy? I start next week, genuinely cannot wait for it!

Craig good to hear from you, I went to Newbold last time I joined and thought it was great!
I’m finishing training next week, we’ve now done most of the training now and loved it!
Although there were less exams to pass than last time, although the training is longer...
As part of our course, we had to do 13 workbooks books during the 8 weeks training.
Kingofthekippax-the C&R is great although a lot to take in!

Fighting your mates with a pick axe handle whilst they are trying to smash you with a shield is fun but my god you feel it the next day...
