Hi

I have my virtual ARC on the 25th of November, was wondering how hard is it I'm getting mixed answers. Some saying it's easy my son could pass it (7 years old) others saying it's really difficult, I'm so nervous as it's virtual aswell can anyone give any tips and roughly what questions are asked?. Thank you.

The reason you are getting mixed messages is because its down to the individual how easy or hard it is. I would find running a marathon very very very hard where as Mo Farrah would find it very easy.. Catch my drift?

Being nervous is part and parcel of an interview and the recruitment team should see past that.

In terms of the questions, I believe its a strengths based interview. There are tonnes of topics on here which will give you advice.

Hope that helps

Anyone know if there was an extension of your ARC results if they expired during lockdown earlier in the year ?

I am currently on a merit list. Will this be extended in light of the current situation?

For those candidates that are currently on a reserve/merit list which is due to expire before 30th September 2020, we have received dispensation to extend ARC accreditation to 31st December 2020. Should a role become available during this time we will contact you to discuss further.

Hope that helps, Bearguy.

Mixed feelings on this ! I passed my arc , happy with result 88% then got to newbold and told that i might as well withdraw my application as my eyesight without glasses didnt meet the standard. I was gutted as as no paperwork was this ever mentioned. I am an OSG and no one in my jail has ever heard of this and even my ops said what a pile of crap , so the POA are going to Challange it. Did you all have eyetest with out glasses contacts and were you informed of the standard prior to the arc?

Thanks

Hey!

I did my Arc three days ago now, I found it went ok, and I’m really hoping I’ve passed. How long did it take for you guys to hear anything?

Seems like the whole process has taken some steps backwards. Looking back to posts a couple of years ago people were taking 12/13 weeks for vetting I think I read one that took 6 months!! Then when I went through it was done within I think 2 weeks now it’s gone back to several weeks.
