Received provisional offer

I just thought I'd come to give some positive news. I have just received a provisional offer from HMYOI Wetherby, and have submitted my Pre-Employment Check Form, so fingers cross, if everything goes well I should be working as a Youth Justice Worker very soon.

And I hope everything goes well for the rest of you during these troubled times.

My ARC was on the 23rd of July, so you're talking less than 4 weeks

Really? That’s one hell of a quick turnaround. I’ve been merit listed over 7 months now . Not for Wetherby, mind.

Dont expect anything to happen fast, even once your vetting is complete theres a big backlog of prison officers waiting to be trained. I've just been informed by PR that all the London prisons have priority and that the training courses are down to groups of 6, so itll take even longer to get through the backlog of officers.

Congrats on the offer though, I was absolutely buzzing when I got mine
