Prison Officer And OSG Application

As I said on another forum, I went through training some years ago and have re- applied to be an officer. Got my ARC coming up, obviously want to pass it.
But I’ve also seen an OSG position come up. Although at another prison.
Do you guys know if you can apply for two jobs at the same time, obviously prison Officer and Osg are two different vacancies.

I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to do both, you can apply for more than one prison as an officer. There may be a different application process ?

Sorry to hijack the thread....but in regards to applying for multiple prisons, do you need to complete the online tests for each one again, even if you have pass against one prison already (and are waiting for an ARC appointment)...?

Yes you will have to do the online tests for each prison then after passing that you can transfer your arc score to that application via sscl

Taff- I don’t think you have to do the whole online test again. But you do have to apply to the other prison or prisons and get an applicant number.
Once you’ve passed your online tests, you can ring SSCL and ask them to transfer your results to the other choices.
It would be daft making people re-do the same test over and over again.
Once you’ve passed the ARC, you can again, ring SSCL and ask them to transfer your results and be on the merit list for multiple locations.

I applied for one establishment and another one came up and sscl told me I had to redo the online tests for a new application, which I thought was pointless tbh then I could transfer my arc score. This was last October, it may of changed now.

Haha I said that to them, doubted myself to pass the tests again surely they could look at the online test scores also and transfer them over. Hopefully thats the case now.

Ok guys...so I just applied to another prison in my local area, and my test pass has transferred. So it appears that a pass with one application will now apply to all future applications. Just waiting for an ARC date now.

I had to do the online tests again mind and had my ARC results mirrored over once I passed those daft tests
