ARC Results
Hi all,
I have been reading this forum since I applied for Prison Officer role.. I would like to thank everyone here for your knowledgable posts that helped me in passing my ARC.
I was informed at the Centre that I was passed, however, it's been 2 days now and I haven't received my results or any email. Is there something I should be worried about? Thanks

Re: ARC Results
Thanks for your reply.. Yes I saw people waiting for almost 9 months.. hopefully I get there soon.. just too excited to start..
Re: ARC Results
I had my ARC last week. I was under the impression we would be told on the day if we passed or not but was told we had to wait 5-7 days

Re: ARC Results
Vincey nailed it... patience. In this business you need to have patience, dont take anything as facr value. And be prepared to be told different things from different people. You could call SSCL and be told vetting takes 6 weeks. Hang up call again and someone will tell you it takes 10 weeks.
At my ARC I was told at the start we would receive the outcome within 48 hours via email, but at the end of the day got told I had passed it! By the same bloke that said we would be emailed!!

Re: ARC Results
Oh wow you didn’t get told on the day? Did you go on a Friday by any chance? Mine was on a Friday and there were only 4 of us, he told us we could wait for our results or we would be told we would have to wait for an email if we didn’t wait on the day!
Re: ARC Results
I went on Thursday and I was informed at the end of ARC that I passed.. we were 8 in total and 4 passed..
@JCOX4 What happened after you passed ARC? Were you contacted by them in a week time to inform what happens next or you were directly contacted with a conditional offer?
Thanks

Re: ARC Results
At the end of the ARC I got told I had passed, then the next day I received an email with actual result scores. I then called SSCL and got my results mirrored to the other jails in the cluster. I then received a conditional offer a few weeks later

Size and weight don't matter. One of the best officers I worked with looked like your typical "girl next door", short, thin, not much physical presence to her, but I would rather work with her on a landing then some huge guy.slimshort wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 11:00 pm https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest ... t-21556936

Don't worry yourself about your physical stature, half the fight is with words n how we use them

I understand were you are coming from but I think we should put out that there that on the whole prisoners are quite protective of female officers and its seen as scummy oo assault onegaboo wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 11:21 pmSize and weight don't matter.
