Does anyone know how long it takes until receiving the formal offer? I had my call about 4 weeks ago and on my account still appears “We are currently updating your application. You will soon be contacted with your formal offer”

From what ive been told contracts are being re written as of new apprenticeship so may be a couple more weeks as contract wording has totally changed.
Very frustrating though just want it in writing not just the phone call.

Thank you Bedders. I’m getting a bit anxious as I’ve already been replaced at work, so no turning back for me.

Must be frustrating as once you have handed in your resignation, employers are under no obligation to allow you to retract it.
Id feel really uneasy resigning with no written unconditional offer of employment 😬😬😬

I’m self employed. I told them in December after passing ARC that I might get another job and, if I do, it would be after many months. My replacement was there within a week :slbli:. And my clients were told I’m leaving before me knowing I was

Anyone else on the lovely merit list?
Anyone received conditional offers recently?
Seems to have gone a bit quiet on that front.

Sscl in self isolation :slda: not from Coronavirus :sltgn: I'm 1 week away from induction, even since I accepted my offer I'm still in the habit of checking the portal page every day even though it's with the establishment now.

On a serious note, do you think they would Taff? Its not unrealistic is it, and it could cause some real issues for potential new starters if they have already received a start date and resigned from there current jobs 😕

Really hope not, I'm in that boat, start week monday and I've just finished my current job. I'd like to think that I wouldn't be let go and just be given a different date for training and in the mean time I'd just have to cope. I haven't heard anything about covid19 from them but the last 2 days its escalated. The establishment may ask if the newbies have been ill.

Just have to keep my fingers and toes crossed.

You cannot stop every industry moving, things have to keep going.

If start dates are delayed, they should honour the original dates and still pay new staff, as like you Taff, I will be finishing my job soon, I’m already training my replacement so there is no going back.

I think there may be some questionnaire or something to complete prior to starting ??

I spoke to someone in the recruitment team on Friday and I asked if the Coronavirus situation would affect start dates and the answer was no. I mentioned I was getting a bit worried because I was already replaced at work, I’m self employed at the minute and there’s no turning back for me. This is a job that needs to keep going, so, I believe that the only way someone’s training would be postponed is if they were ill or one of the training staff that couldn’t be replaced. Fingers crossed it will be over soon. Stay healthy everyone
