If you are being asked a question but you don’t want to answer it truthfully, are you sure this is a job for you??
I’m sorry but the position of a Prison Officer requires integrity and trust. If your willing to lie, manipulate your application at this stage, to benefit yourself, where do you draw the line??

Had my conditional offer today but wasn’t for my preferred prison! If I reject will I be put back on merit list or will I have to start application from scratch! The application was for 2 prisons

I didn’t get my preferred prison either but i knew that was always going to be something that might happen and i was willing to accept the fact that i might not get my preferred choice and i would be willing to accept any prison that offered me a place. if you didn’t want to go to the prison you have been offered then i dont really get why you applied there?

Hi all,

New to this site.

I submitted my pre-employment checks on 16/03 and the health questionnaire 18/03. I haven’t heard anything since. Does anyone know what usually happens after the health questionnaire? I can understand there might be a delay now under the circumstances but just wondering what happens after you submit the health questionnaire.

Thanks

Hi all

So, 3 days ago when I last checked it said I was still in vetting and I’ve just checked now and it says ‘We shall be in contact with you shortly to let you know the next stage of the recruitment process.’ Does anyone know what this means? I thought they had to get in touch with the person you’ve put down as your counter signatory reference but they haven’t had anything yet nor my current employer.
Thanks

Does anyone have any idea on how the north east prisons are like hiring wise may have to reconsider looking at other locations.
