Countersignatory

Hi all. Why do we need to use a countersignaroty for? They have proof of who we are from passport and documents we provide? What Qs do they get asked?

Everyone has had to get one, you seem very worried about your whole application process from your convictions to reference now Countersignature.

What will be will be if pass you pass if don’t unlucky

I have absolutely no idea what questions they get asked mate, just have to vouch for your identity and known you for a year

Thanks for that nwgooner.. Not worried about my counter signature person whatsoever. Worried about my convictions, yes. And I dont remember mentioning references at all? Could you remind me?
Just asking a question as it seems odd, you provide documentation to prove your ID which is verified at the ARC.

They have to be someone of a profession and with something to lose ie: there career if provide wrong information or not give correct information about you.

States it all in the application of you bothered to read it proper with these skills know doubt you’ll get the job ( hop not)

My counter signatory was never even contacted, may be something to do with my clearance from a previous job or possibly if the boxes are ticked from everything else they don’t need to

Hi, I’m sorry to hijack this thread but I just wanted to ask if anyone could recommend a countersignatory example as i did put my DR but vetting are having a hard time getting a response so not sure who I could use now? I’m stuck... any help appreciated

Someone who has something to lose should they lie. Owner of local shop, landlord of local pub, school teachers someone like that as long as they have known you over a year
