Cheers Belfast. Just one of those things i suppose. Hoping to get sorted one way or another. Just a waiting game again.

Do you have any idea what reference TheRealMe?.. put an appeal in ASAP. When did you start vetting again?

2 weeks ago. I’ve got my suspicions but at the end of the day it could be something daft like a reference not being contactable. I’ll find out eventually, I hope. I’ve got the wheels in motion, requested a few references from credible people so as soon as I receive them I’ll get them sent off.

Just remember mate, it took mine 3 months, and I was stuck on referred for a decision for ages.
As JCOX said, put your appeal in a and post it to them special delivery, so it goes there quick!
The vetting system does seem ridiculous, was this hiccup down to a reference, or don’t you know yet?

Down to a reference, yes. But unsure in what way atm. Ive emailed as well as written to them regarding my reason for failing as well as requesting the procedure for appeal. In the meantime I’m gathering credible references to strengthen the appeal.

So, I haven’t sent off my appeal information just yet as I’m waiting to hear back from an old manager as to whether they’d be willing to give me a reference. I have 3 so far but this one I’m hoping for could make a massive difference. Strangely though, I logged onto my portal tonight and my message no longer says ‘unfortunately you pre employment checks were unsatisfactory’ etc (you get the drift), it now appears my file is again active and says I have been referred for a decision

. My mind is boggled

Mate I’m buzzing but can’t understand whats changed as I haven’t sent everything off yet due to holding out for this last reference. Can only think a reference has contacted them

Still at referred for a decision, LondonLad. Refreshed my portal that many times yesterday that it didn’t auto logout once

How long after ghosting through your vetting the second time did it take to hear back from them roughly? Just re gone through all mine and obviously my brains like ‘when will I hear from them’ ‘is it going to be months’ haha

It wasnt long at all, about 3 days I think. Good luck im sure it will be fine though!
