I’m starting training 23/4/18 at Newbold too, who did you speak to in regards working as an OSG before your training?

Hi guys!!! So FINALLY I have a start date! I start at my prison 16th April then onto newbold!
So so excited to get started it's been such a long weight but well worth it and sticking it out to finally be given a start date.

Anyone else got this date?
Anyone residential?? I'm coming from West Sussex.

Also does anyone know if we share a room with someone? Random question I know :)

Had my RAD assessment 18th July passed about a week later been in vetting since!! So as you can imagine a weight has finally been lifted!

Looking forward to hearing who else will be there :)
Hey! I’m going to Newbold on that date! Soooo excited!
I’m staying residential at I live in Kent.
I finally passed my RAD in October so I feel your pain it’s dragged on so long!
I start at my establishment as an OSG on the 26th of this month, there for 2 months and then have the same dates as you :)
So happy to finally find someone else I can share my excitement with!

I feel like I'm the only one that hasn't been offered this OSG thing lol!

So nice to hear people on here are on the same date. I got my letter through today for uniform arghhh still can't believe it's finally happening just a little bit longer to wait

Before my RAD I got a call saying that if I passed everything (vetting included), they would call me to start as a OSG.
Less than 2 months to start my POELT, and nothing lol.
Guess you weren't the only one

Seems there was a bit of a mix up with my dates so I won't be at Newbold. I'm going to be at Holme house instead which is better for me really. Good luck to you all anyway.

Sorry, only just seen this! Priority recruitment offered it to me when I called to get my dates, so worth giving them a call back they might be able to fit you in as an osg!

Hi guys just wondering if you know whether we can leave things in our rooms at Newbold over the weekend? As I have a tabletop ironing board, mini iron and kettle I’d much rather leave there that drag backward and forwards on the train twice a week :slnuts:
