without sounding Cliche, its something I've always wanted to do.
I'm at the age now, where I want to start my career and do something productive whilst enjoying my job at the same time.

I've been in an office job since i left school and have really struggled with the monotony of the daily grind.
I very much like to keep myself busy and active and I think im well suited to working in a prison.
Strong willed, confident and with a good ear.

Having completed 22 years in the Army I needed a job that gives you the same level of challenges, the unexpected, think on your feet moments. The occasional adrenaline rush.

The uniform and discipline are second nature. Can’t wait to get started.

I've worked at a desk most of my life with a mixture of customer services, management and a stint for the probation service (admin) I've had a fair few jobs in my time all coming with different challenges and always had something missing. A lot of my family work either in the prison service, or police and I've always wanted to do it, I'm nearly 30 and feel this is the time to do what I've always felt I am meant to do.

In vetting and now it's just the patient wait to get there!

Studied Criminology at uni and graduated last year! Since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to be in the police but I have no experience at all, I applied for the specials years ago but didn’t pass the interview stage so just left it. I then applied for the police last January but was unsuccessful :sloo:

I seen they were recruiting for prison officers quite a lot so decided to apply. I think working with offenders will be so interesting, rewarding and challenging. Every shift will be different. I’ve worked in an office job for 2 years now and absolutely hate it! Only 5 more weeks till I hand my notice in :slyay:
