Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
As the topic asks above ^ has anyone had any problems with their vetting? Or failed? And for what reasons? I'm a bit nervous since mine started yesterday as I'm eager to pass.
Any stories welcome.

Re: Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
I'm pretty sure I'll fail mine so I'll let you know
2 previous employers have gone bust and I don't have any personal contact details for the guys I worked for! However I have another couple references on the form which will work
I'm not on the electoral roll either as I don't vote so I'm sure that will be an issue too.
I'll keep you updated anyway!

Haha yes let me know and I'll let you know regards to mine. I wander what they look into.... I should have asked!! Mine only started yesterday, how long for you?
I've not long been on the electoral role. I'm sure it'll be fine though.

Not sure how important it is, but they use the electoral roll to prove your address history and identity ... I'm sure they can use their means though but I'll let you knowGsxrboy wrote:Oops that's one for me I don't vote either

Re: Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
I don't vote at my current address and I passed so I'm sure it's not that important as long as all of the information matches up I'm sure they have other ways to check ... Plus it depends how long ago these employers were as they don't always check all of them . From what I understand you will only fail if you have done something wrong and if you are honest about everything you should be fine
Re: Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
Im with sps so bit different up here as we get 'the call' then references etc go through but i was paranoid i would fail my checks as after waiting so long its hard to believe its actually happening. Aslong as uve been honest through out i wouldnt worry
if anything theyl contact you most likely if they need any more info or explainations.

Re: Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
Thanks guys, putting my mind at ease. Time will tell! Just moved faster than I thought it would so feels a bit too good to be true that vetting has started unexpectedly. Excited!
Just didn't know what they looked into. I have one motoring conviction from 4 years ago and a CCJ which I've been paying a fortune back every month but have declared both & explained the reasons. Will keep you all posted on here.

Hey, my vetting started 3 to 4 weeks ago and apparently it's with 'the business team' to make a decision? Anyone else ever had this? They have everything they need from me so I guess they'll make it soon. Is this just another term for allocations? I hope so, little bit worried.

Re: Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
It will be I think from what I've seen about on here. Good luck!

Re: Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
Cheers Lucy. I'm going away for a week so hopefully when I get back I won't be too far off the call

Re: Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
Hey, the business (decisions) team are part of the vetting team not allocations.
The vetting team will collect all of the details etc, once they have all the details they need it's passed onto the decisions team to look through and either say pass or fail.
If you fail you will hear straight away if you pass you won't hear anything, they will send your file over to the allocations team.
Once the allocations have your file they will speak with prison and poelt venues and find out dates etc once this has been done you will then get 'the call' to discuss when is the most appropriate time for you to start.
Once you get the call you get a number for the person in charge of you allocation, these people will give you a lot of good information and are very helpful.
If you with decisions I would say you'll be contacted hopefully within the next 3 weeks
I hope this helps !!
Good luck !!

Re: Has anyone ever failed vetting and for what reason?
Always good help dandyman. I feel sick waiting for this vetting to be completed
Reason mainly being I don't have many references as I've only been working just over a year, before this I was a sort of kept woman and just dealt with the children, I put this in my vetting forms but how would they get any sort of reference for being a stay at home mum for a few years?.. And my references prior to that is in DUBAI
but that was about 8 years ago....
