Re: Sequence Of vetting

Post by Andy888 » Thu May 18, 2017 11:27 am

Yeah Rocky, I posted the other week about the glitch over my countersignature reference that nobody seemed to have noticed until I called SS to state they never received any reference request early April so the system was wrong when they said it had been received back and passed early April!. Remember, shared services don't do the vetting so hardly going to hold the process up by calling them every week I thought. If anything I say it can help speed the process up and get glitches sorted by calling to enquire on the status and then by looking somebody notices an issue, either by SS themselves or by what they state to the applicant calling.

first is to confirm your identity , address and right to work , last will be the work references . Some candidates need CTC , and some don't . But is CTC , DBS, PNS , CREDIT, ETC all done in the same time ? and how long they will take for each candidate ? the only people know the answer to this question would be the vetting team . But I would assume that DBS will be the next stage after confirmation of your identity , because it wouldn't make sense to carry on with anything else if there are red flags on DBS.

My employer reference was less than half way through the vetting process!. But saying that it doesn't matter at what stage they contact your employer, they will still know at least several weeks to a few months before you start your POELT anyway, even if they contact your employer last.

Spoke to SS today . Actually they told me they are awaiting for my CRB to come back and my current reference . My counter signatory was contacted in first week. So there is a possibility that after they confirm your identity and address they will request a CRB check with the Police , your work reference , and anything else they need in the same time.

Does anyone have another number for SS? One that doesn't cost £2.25 per minute.

the email address is the standard one for recruitment , Share Services on Steria, should be attached with the messages you've been send , no specific email for Priority Recruitment. There is one for vetting team , if you do a search , you'll find it , it was discussed in other topics regarding vetting. But i still think calling is the best option if you want to find out where you at with your vetting. I phoned Shared Services today and received all the information i needed. Call took less then 2 minutes , but it was worth it as i know where i stand and everything is on the right track.
