Sickness record in previous employment

Hi everyone, I'm new here and have my RAD in 3 weeks time. I'm a little concerned about my sickness record with my current employer - I had nearly a year off 3 years ago as I had an operation on my neck - I am now fully recovered and no recurring problems. Earlier this year I was suffering from severe fatigue which the doctor thought was down to long term use of anti depressants. I have been off work for a few months due to tapering my dosage which caused withdrawal symptoms. I have now stabilised and am feeling really well and am physically fit but worried my previous absences will go against me? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks

My only advice is to declare everything and try and discuss with Shared Services,
Its best to find out earlier, rather than going through the process and be disappointed at the end, or even worse start the job only for it to come to light later.
If you pass your RAD then you will be referred to an Independent Occupational Health Adviser for assessment, you will have to give permission for them to contact your GP. I had a telephone call for my OH, but this was for another reason and I passed this and now have a start date.

Just to add wehart i had similar amount of time off for fatigue and stress due to an isolated and now sorted incidfent , i put everything down on my forms and was completely honest about it. I got a call off occupational health to discuss it and everything was fine , they was happy to pass me fit to be employed
