Jargon buster?

Hey there - new recruit here.

I know I'll learn about it all on training shortly, but reading some of the threads has been difficult as there are lots of jargon/acronyms kicking about. Could someone run through them for us newbies? Things like IEPs, RFID etc etc

IEP = incentives and earned privileges (tv, extra visits, PlayStation etc)

RFID - I think are like keycards, electronic fobs if you was to disable an alarm panel or someone open a door with a keycard, that’s RFID.

DNU - Do Not Unlock

I have seen incoming mail with S.W.A.L.K on the envelope and learnt just this week is abbreviated as ‘sealed with a loving kiss’

RFID - Radio frequency identification -refers to a wireless system comprised of two components: tags and readers. The reader is a device that has one or more antennas that emit radio waves and receive signals back from the RFID tag

Think pass cards / contactless bank cards / car keys for posh cars with keyless entry and start.
