What’s after Virtual ARC email

Post by Turnstyle2 »

Hi

I passed my virtual arc 2 weeks ago. Basically it just said I was successful and next steps was pass or merit. Does anyone know when they email you what happens next? Can I get to see my score? How do I know if they are vetting me?

Thanks guys
Jaybo

I’m not sure if it’s different for virtual ARC’s because mine was normal
But
You will wait for an email to say your results, once that has happened it’s a waiting game until a prison sends you a conditional offer
When you accept the offer they send you the vetting forms that you complete and send back
When you have finished vetting you will get a phone call with your start date

I just passed my virtual arc 2 weeks ago and I emailed to know my score, I was told in the reply that they now don’t tell you the score it’s just a simple pass or fail. Good luck for the future!

Cheers for the info guys.

Have you heard anything else back? Like vetting dates or just that you passed?

Cheers

Not heard anything at all just congratulations you passed. Really anxious to get my fitness test date now I just want to get it over and done with and start the job!

Let us know when you either get the offer or go on the merit list. Good luck!

Yeah me and you are in the same boat Samc. I am sure it will all work out. Just keep practicing bleep test you can download the app on your phone. Level 5.6 isn’t that hard but it’s the technique of turning at each bleep that helps.

Will do plantpot.

I’m a very fit person, but honestly the bleep test goes so quickly, all of a sudden you’re done.

I recommend practicing 2min of running, 30s off, or 3min of running, 1min off. It will be a lot more beneficial than practising the bleep test.

Try and get that in 2 or 3x a week depending on how your body responds, but honestly that is so much better than practising the bleep test

Something else I noticed that is slightly different, I passed my VARC and saw that another establishment that I was interested was recruiting, I applied online as normal, I received an email to say I had passed the online tests, then the next day another one to say I had passed the assessment centre....

So, by the looks of it, there is no need to ring recruitment up and ask to mirror your results over to the other campaign you applied for, mine linked up automatically 👍🏻

So thought I’d let you guys know the process I’ve had so far.
I took part in the VARC back in December.
Received a successful result, they don’t email you a score anymore just give you a pass or fail. It it stayed on that message for 4 weeks (the merit list) until I was given a conditional offer.
One accepted, filled in my vetting/medical form and given a fitness date.
Fitness test is much easier than I thought it was going to be, nervous for no reason. My tip would be to practice interval running rather than longer distances. You’re only running for a max of 4ish minutes
