What to bring to the Poelt?

Hi everyone!

To all the people who are doing their Poelt or have completed it, What do you need to bring or was there anything that you wished you would've brought with you? There isn't much information on my email on what to bring.

I'm doing my poelt course at the moment! No need to bring anything, pens and a notebook I found useful but a pad is provided!! If you like tea or coffee bring those too as my place doesn't provide it for you!

I'm starting my poelt in march, do you need to bring/buy food or are there meals etc provided? May sound stupid!

Just got my contract sent through, food is provided if anyone else was unsure.

Is the contract sent through email or is sent to your house?

Hi Plantpot, it was sent via email with other information regarding the training and induction etc and what to bring. Have you had your start date through yet?

Yes I have Spear mate, I got a email congratulating me and had other bits on there as well as my start date. Does the next email come through quickly?

I got my start date on Monday and received the contract today, I'm training at newbold on the 29th of march, when and where are you training? Feel free to not answer if you dint want to mate.

how long after vetting was done did everyone wait for the call?

Mine was 10 ish days jarhead

I would take food with you just incase there isn't food near. Other than that just bring yourself all smart, polished shoes/boots everything else is provided.

Spear - Cheers for that mate, I should get it before Friday. Hopefully it has everything I need on there.

I start on the 8th of March and my home establishment is in the North.

Taff - Hi Taff, how well do you have to polish the boots? Until they shine or just a clean matte finish? I know mates that have had jobs who have been strict with boots.

All depends on your poelt tutors tbh, dont think it is that strict from the state of some boots I've seen in the establishment just make sure they are tidy. On my course, each day someone would take in turn to be the orderly officer (oscar1) that poelt would inspect everyone's uniform first thing.
