Vetting Process

No Labgurl, that’s a new one. Weird you were going through pre-employment checks and then jumped back and then forward again.
Had you already filled out all your vetting documents when it started saying about the ARC?

Yes I've had the exact same. They emailed me 2 weeks later asking me my notice period and if I drive, I also had to choose a time and date when they would call me so we could discuss when I started training

I was given 2 different dates to start training 6 weeks time or 13 week

Oh that's amazing when do you start? I have childcare ready for training and drive so eager to get started now

I start march 8th, my training is at bellmarsh

Just to let you know, I got an email and text to book my start date interview slot!

I received this 11 days after my portal changed to “we will contact you”

Amazing news barkingmad only jut seen your reply sorry I filled everything out for arc passed that then filled out vetting forms then had my fitness test 2 weeks ago and passed

Thanks guys! I think it’ll be at a Newbold as I’ve applied for a West Mids prison, but I will find out on Friday.

I had to book my appointment for the call, and there were loads of dates and times. So try both to stress out waiting for a call in the evening, they might be doing it this way now.

Ah Labgurl does it still say you’re going through pre-employment checks? Maybe they do some of it, wait until you pass fitness and then do the rest. It’s hard to comment as I did a ARC so everything was in person and on the same day

Oh that's good that there are alot of dates evenings are better for me with having two children. Yeah it still says the same keep checking it every few hours haha do you know once you get your training date do you then get your start date for the prison or is that another waiting process trying to sort out childcare so be useful to know will I be starting at the prison a week after completing poelt or can it be a long time before we get to start.
