Was you booked for a call yesterday buzz or did they just randomly call you?

Advice on CTC please peeps. At what stage of vetting would these higher checks commence? Did you all receive the email early on into vetting for ctc? For whatever reason I thought that this wouldn’t commence unless you’d satisfied everything at sscl’s end?

Hi. Id say you should have received your ctc forms to fill in about a week after your vetting had started.

Asator wrote: Mon May 24, 2021 3:58 pm So I had an arranged phone call for this Tuesday about arranging my start date, however, on Sunday I had a call out of the blue about arranging my start date then. Frustratingly, the call dropped out due to poor reception (I was driving) and when I got home I had an email telling me to call priority recruitment on their direct number.

My question is: Do they ever pick up their damn calls? Have those of you that have called them and gotten through just persisted until finally getting through?? Sometimes it goes straight to a voicemail message and other times it rings until I eventually get the same message! :slhmm:

Shall I perservere??
Practically same as you buzz. I got my call booked in for today. Just finished a night shift and I'm too excited to sleep 😁

Had my call last night, date booked but unfortunately feeling a bit deflated as there's some confusion around my GCSE certs. Can't believe you can get to this stage and it still be an issue.

I have the statement of results and she was unsure whether that would be OK, she advised I just take them and see what happens! I asked what if they turn me away though and she couldn't really answer.

All this was explained and discussed during the interview stage, I showed the guy what I had and he said not to worry as they can sort it their end. Just seems like a shambles to be honest. I dont want to do an extra week of this foundation stuff as I have the grades (for god sake I'm 30 now and have been in management positions for years) and I dont want to risk it on day 1! I'll be nervous enough as it is!

I've emailed the recruitment team with pretty much that 👆. See what they say.

Good news is, I have a date.

So guys and gals ...I've just spoken to sscl this morning and been told priority are snowed under with applications so start date calls are getting missed ..I was due for a call last night and didn't receive it.

I have been assured that all applications are fine though just have to wait until priority clear the backlog.

Ahh Lloydy. I wouldnt worry too much. SSCL have to cover their backs from every angle and can't give anything away. I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine.
I don't even know my grades, I went to school that long ago but I'm the same I'm fine with maths and English. Back to the exciting bit..... When is your start date 😁😁

More waiting buzz! Hope I arnt missed tonight.
