Vetting Process

I’m going through the vetting process and my status has updated to
“
Your application is currently going through pre-employment checks and has been referred for a decision.”

Does this mean there’s a problem with something or just the normal procedure

Hi mate, mine changed to this and then back to pre employment checks, if you look at the 'track your application's you will see that it goes for a baseline decision and then back to checks then for a final decision. Hope this helps and all the best!

Hi everyone! I've only discovered this forum so I'm not sure how to create my own topic but it relates to this one. I hope the original poster doesn't mind.

My vetting keeps changing between " Currently undergoing the vetting process " & " We will contact you shortly to let you know the next stage of the recruitment process ". This has happened a couple of times, has anyone else had this experience?

I started my vetting 3 weeks ago. Last week I was notified I passed my Counter Terrorism and NS check, but still waiting on the rest of my vetting to be completed.
Has anyone else passed certain things early, but still waited for the rest of it?

My Status changed last night to say
'Your application is currently going through pre-employment checks with either higher level checks and or health outstanding'
I had a call about my medical questionnaire 2 weeks ago and was told I passed and they would forward the information over to HMPPS so I presume the higher level checks are outstanding does anyone know what these involve.

I think it could be CTC checks if you have applied for a Cat A, or maybe if you have applied for a juvenile YOI it could be your DBS they are waiting for.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the job advertised does say YOI but no other communication does but it is also a cat A prison.

Hi Martin,

Have you received an email from C2 Security Support to initiate your CTC? It will be sent directly to your email and not on the portal.

I’m guessing you’re going to Belmarsh? From process of elimination, only Cat A in outer London.
