Inmates with Braces/other cosmetic issues

Post by jamesbrewer » Tue Sep 24, 2019 4:28 pm

Hi guys,

A quick question that I've always wondered, but never seem to find much information regarding.

If an inmate is held on remand and has had cosmetic medical treatment such as braces which need adjusting every 4-6 weeks are prisons/NHS liable to adjust the braces for the individual? Does this also matter whether the prisoner is sentence or on remand?

Would this in some way effect the prisoners rights? If so, where is the line drawn in regards to the ability to access healthcare?

Regards
James
