Any yoi officers?

Post by Elkins17 » Sat Dec 16, 2017 6:32 pm

:slby:

I am hoping to start in a YOI after vetting.

Just wondering if anyone can give more of an insight,

Such as what happens if the need to use force arises? Is this frowned upon more in YOI? I’ll predominantly will be working with the younger side 15-17 year olds. Does this differ much as surely they all have to be in education during the day?

Any insight would be fab!

These prisons house 18-21year olds as well as adult prisoners, not young offenders as such but not classed as adults in the system.
It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity

Start of vetting to the call 17 weeks 2 days.
