They use the PNC to complete your DBS, anything significant that shows on the PNC will be on your DBS.
It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity

Start of vetting to the call 17 weeks 2 days.

Just be honest about everything. Shouldn't be an issue unless you've been criminally convicted for something..

:slst:
Hi Guys!!!
Been reading these forums for the last 4 months awaiting to hear wether I passed vetting. After 17 weeks I checked my emails this morning for it to say my pre employment checks were unsatisfactory!!
Was nearly in tears at work totally gutted. If sent my letter off to ask why and if I can appeal.
Any ideas or help, my previous employer an I clashed so I'm worried he just didn't send a reference back. I have previously worked in Egypt and more recently America, Egypt there would be no way of proving I worked though as it was through Egyptian entertainment people. I do have a ccj but I am paying it off I have just missed two payments but I am on it. I have a caution from 3-4 years ago which I declared I never got a charge or fine or anything i have very small amount of debt which again I have a plan in place in which I'm paying it back. Is any of this would could be going against me and would i stand any chance In appealing?!

Sorry for the essay guys going out my mind!!!!
If anyone could lend me an ear that would be great. Not ready to give up on this after waiting 4 months

Thanks! :)

I wouldn't say you are on it if you are missing payments, id say it raises a red flag. You can get a reference from your employer in Egypt and you will have a working visa in your Passport to prove your time in country. Not only this depending on how long you spent in country Anything less than 9 months in a year you will also still liable to pay tax in the uk.

It was volunteer work in Egypt and I have no visa stamp as I wasn't there very long. Egypt I have the visas in my passport.

That's the reason for failing. Defaulted ccj .
Automatic failure.
It shows you may be targeted or easily swayed to make fast money to sort your issues out

Also you mention a caution.
A caution is an admission of guilt.
This coupled with Te defaulted ccj would exclude you from passing vetting

You just keep hoisting the red flags don't you? I would say until you can sort out your finances and past travel history you have no chance. On this occasion I am on vetting's side.

From .gov.uk on visas for Egypt
British passport holders travelling to Egypt normally require a visa.

For visits of up to 30 days, you can get a visa on arrival by payment in Sterling, US Dollars or Euros; the visa fee is US$25 at approved bank kiosks within airport arrival halls, before reaching immigration counters. There’s no need to buy a visa from an agent. In many cases agents will charge more than US$25 for a visa. If you’re harassed by an agent, report the incident to the tourist police in the airport terminal.

Alternatively you can get a visa from an Egyptian Consulate outside Egypt before you travel. If you’re entering Egypt for work or business it is preferable to get a visa before you travel

Red flags????

You have hundreds of red flags....

Cautions, ccj defaults, working in a country with no visa!!!!!
Take this tongue in cheek but which side of the bars do you want to be!!!

Undocumented travel to a terrorist hot spot and fiances up the wall. If he cant see why he has failed then no one can help him Sgt Bush. Thankfully this is a case of vetting done correctly.

Not even going to explain why none of which you said go against me because like I said you jump before you even ask anything. Wish I never bothered

The same names pop up on here over and over. Just add them to your foe list and you don't need to read their tripe

Good luck
