As if by luck I've been given the circumstances to leave but I'm no quitter so I worked a way round it and found a way to stay.

The only way I can do this is to have permanent nights. Have any of you guys heard of officers doing permanent nights?

So are you asking to go on permanent nights due to home circumstances or have your establishment made an offer for you to be put on permanent nights?.

You have not given all the facts.
No officer would be asked to leave but ill stay if i do permanent nights.
What have you done?
I suspect your trying to deflect the blame onto your colleagues rather than the other way round.

And all of you have had a 1-1 with the governor?
Well I can bet you that the other 24 had poa reps with them.
No officer goes into a meeting of this nature blind

There used to permanent nights officers many years ago! They were just been phased out when I joined the service we used to have a nights only Prison Officer Grade now it's only OSGs

Erm this seems a complete overreaction to a missed count just be honest we don't know you and can advise over here if your completely honest

I think everyone's reading this wrong, they want to do permanent nights because of a problem at home.

That's sounds cushy because if you get out on nights for a week the following week you get off so do you work like 1 week on 1 week off ? And get paid the same as everybody else so u do half the work ?

In terms of hours you wouldn't do half the work because you would do 7 nights which are 12 hour shifts I believe.

Was really just asking the question don't overthink it.
I have been offered nights but now don't need them because my home problem has been resolved.

If anything the whole situation has taken my mind off the problems at work. So I've had a couple of weeks rest haha.

Thanks for your help guys.
