Hi

Finally my welcome pack has turned up, reading through the it all and to be totally honest it's all Greek to me :slsad: does any body on here know which one is best for a new starter I'm 40 yrs never really done the pension thing. Do I go with the Alpha or Partnership? Any help would be great.

I've looked it up on HMPS site and it is quite confusing so I'd like some guidance from those more experienced too 😊

no welcome pack here either mbot - mind I'm lucky to even have a contract 😂😂

You're all asking for pension advice from here? Are you mad?

No-one here can advise you of the best option as we don't know your personal priorities or circumstances.

Something as important as pension advice requires the help of a professional financial advisor who knows what you want to achieve from your pension.

You stagger me, you really do.

Do a search on Google, you will find out the difference between the 2 types of pension and should influence your choice.
It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity

Start of vetting to the call 17 weeks 2 days.

I spoke to a financial advisor who is also a friend who said stay clear of the partnership option and stick to alpha. It's the most popular choice for a reason but it's all down to personal choice. She explained everything through with me and alpha was the only option in the end.

Hopefully someone will give us the answer!! Although I feel like I really should know this but I really dont!

I don't get this pension stuff really. Iv never had to do any pension things before, not even the workplace one so its all new to me. It just seems like quite a bit of money to lose every month, but then maybe I'm working it out wrong :?
