Try looking at http://www.milletsports.co.uk/footwear/magnum/ for Magnum boots. They have a London store.
Hope this helps

Having served in the British Army for 22 years as a Paratrooper in the Royal Artillery (supporting the Parachute Regiment Battalions) I can recommend most type of Karrimor KSB range.

Karrimor ksb 300 eVent Navy Boot

We used to buy any colour as you just go over them with Kiwi black boot polish. Most are Avent breathable but waterproof membrane. You only need to wear normal thin black COTTON socks with them. You don't want any boot that comes too high above the ankle as they serve no real purpose apart from adding extra weight. Vibram soles are top notch too. I do not personally like magnums, blister boots, little protection and shorter life span.
KSB's are the andrex of boots. They go on and on and on. Many of us wore them in Iraq and Afghanistan.

another thing also to look at is the type of prison you are going to if you are going through a metal detector each morining you do not want to have to remove them if they have a metal strip in them
