I had my fitness test two weeks ago, by far the agility test is the easiest part. There’s no real way to prepare, you just need to be able to move quickly up and down the hall (around the cones). Practice the bleep test to improve your speed and endurance and you’ll be fine :)

I haven’t done my fitness but did find some preparation information on the HM Prison and Probation Service website. It gives information and ways to practice for both the agility and the bleep test. I will try and post a picture of the page. When you click on practice tests, you can then click on the agility test. It tells you where to position comes to practice. It might help 😊

Good luck with it. I’m going to start preparing for mine. I don’t know when it will be as I only passed VARC yesterday, but the fitness is what I’m most worried about so need to get myself fitter

If you can run 1km at a little more than a jog you should smash the bleep test, I understand its 35 reps of 15 meters, so 525 meters in total, First few levels are little more than a power walk. the main killer on it is the stopping and turning.

I have mine booked for 2nd August but I do a bleep every year for football.

I started jogging and really tested my fitness level ..... it was quite horrible :slbg: :slro:.
I kept going running and walking, pacing myself. I also added a routine with squats and lounges.
One month later, I can comfortably do the 5.4.
Just keep going, don't stress. Pace yourself and try to relax while running.
I am asthmatic and I had to work on my breathing. I am not a sprinting chicken. :slbg:
If I can do it, anyone can! :slcl:
