Re: newbold revel november 2018

Probably best delete your name from the post to protect your identity, I know there are a few starting there on the 19th but don’t think they are here they are on this forum. Good luck, you will enjoy it, especially if you get E section, the teacher there is great.

Re: Current serving Prison Officers

There is not another job like this in the world IMO. And as said above, you will either love it or you will realise that this isn’t for you. I’m not going to sugar coat it as it will give people the wrong idea. It can be horrendous at times, within my first 3 weeks we had called in the nationals 3 t...

Re: prison officer strike condemned by Ministers

Wasn't a strike as that would have been illegal, we retreated to a place of safety and protested about the conditions that we are forced to work in.

Is it for a London prison? According to KTD they are interviewing now rather than RAD for London.

A few people for other London prisons have been offered Wandsworth as far as I know, haven’t heard of it happening elsewhere.

Re: POELT .2nd July 2018 at Newbold Revel

There is a backlog of people waiting to recieve calls and there are normally only a few people on in the evening that can actually sort this out for you so best to try and call them.

There are still spaces available on dates before this and other establishments not just Newbold that you can attend.

Re: Failing RAD - Re-applying?

If you failed RAD by a couple of marks then they will invite you for a development day in the next week or so, if not then you can reapply the following month when the new campaign starts. Failing that, you can reapply using a different email and doing the POST straight away and apply for the same j...

You will recieve "the call" in the next few days/week depending on the backlog. Your vetting is complete and you have been successful.

From the sound of it chill was unfortunate in he woke up after having a few drinks and was still over the limit, could happen to anyone and yes he would have been dealt with by the courts and military. You can appeal, for references most have the decision overturned in a short period of time and vetting commences. Good luck.

Re: Criminal record

Your holier than though attitude won’t work in your favour here, you are upsetting a lot of people with it, even more ...

Re: New Starters pay

PP is readily available when you complete your 12 weeks and is offered to everyone at the establishment. Your 4 hours may be paid at an enhanced rate but are non pensionable, so that enhancement is a subsidy for that.
